The Opportunity

The Research team is seeking a motivated First Nations Student Engagement Officer to support initiatives that raise awareness of gerontological nursing within First Nations communities and organisations.

In this role, you will develop marketing materials, design program collateral, implement campaigns, and liaise with UniSC Marketing and cultural teams across campuses. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to promote scholarships and programs that encourage First Nations students to engage with nursing in aged care.

The position is therefore only open to Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.

  • collaborate with conference organisers and peak bodies representing First Nations communities;
  • develop promotional materials and social media content to support engagement initiatives;
  • track and report on progress using Excel; and
  • assist with travel arrangements for scholarship recipients.

About you

You are motivated, culturally aware, and skilled at building relationships with diverse stakeholders. You are confident communicating with a range of audiences, highly organised, and capable of managing multiple tasks while ensuring high-quality outcomes.

You will possess:

  • Experience in marketing, communications, event coordination, or program support;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; and
