The Opportunity

UniSC Advancement builds, secures, and stewards community and global relationships to advance philanthropic and social investment in the University’s priorities, supporting UniSC’s strategic vision to deliver transformational and sustainable impact locally and globally. Within this context, the Events Officer, Advancement plays a key role in delivering high-quality donor and alumni events that strengthen engagement and stewardship. Working closely with colleagues across Philanthropy, Alumni Relations, Advancement Services, and Marketing and Communications, you will coordinate a diverse program of events that align with UniSC’s goals, values, and messaging, while also providing high-level administrative support to enable effective donor engagement, conversion, and retention.

You will

  • plan, coordinate, and deliver donor, alumni, and community engagement events, including celebrations, meetings, and networking activities;
  • manage end-to-end event logistics, including venues, catering, invitations, registrations, budgets, and on-site coordination; and
  • work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure events align with UniSC’s strategic objectives and brand.

About you

You are a highly organised and proactive events professional with strong relationship management and customer service skills. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities with attention to detail and professionalism. Confident in liaising with a broad range of stakeholders, you bring sound judgement, initiative, and a collaborative approach to your work. With excellent communication skills and digital capability, you deliver seamless events that create positive and lasting impressions.

You will possess:

  • completion of a relevant qualification in marketing, project or event administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; 
  • strong digital literacy, including experience using CRM systems, email marketing and CMS platforms, Microsoft Office 365, and social media;
  • excellent organisational, time management, and workload prioritisation skills;
  • well-developed relationship management and customer service capabilities; and
  • experience producing event-related communications, reports, and post-event evaluations.

Desirable:

  • experience in the not-for-profit or philanthropic sector;
  • experience working in a university environment;
  • experience using Microsoft Teams;
  • experience with Raiser’s Edge NXT.
