Casual staff – UniSC Sport and Fitness

At UniSC Sport and Fitness, we offer a variety of programs, facilities, and services aimed at promoting physical activity and enhancing overall wellness. From state of the art fitness centres and diverse group fitness classes to competitive sports teams and recreational activities, we provide opportunities for individuals of all interests and fitness levels to engage in active living.

Primary Objectives:

  • Deliver high quality fitness instruction, including group fitness classes, personal training sessions, and specialised fitness programs.
  • Assist in the administration and coordination of sports programs, leagues, and events.
  • Manage and maintain fitness and sports facilities, ensuring they are safe, clean, and well equipped.
  • Contribute to the implementation of wellness programs and initiatives that promote healthy lifestyles among the university community.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all participants, addressing inquiries, and ensuring a positive experience.
  • Promote and market sport and fitness programs through various channels to increase participation and engagement.
  • Collaborate with other university departments and external partners to enhance the sport and fitness offerings at UniSC.

Desirable Qualifications or Skills:

  • Experience in sports administration, fitness instruction, program coordination, or event management.
  • Strong knowledge of fitness principles, exercise techniques, and wellness strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire participants.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Proficiency in using fitness and sports management software and tools.
  • A proactive and customer focused approach to service delivery.
  • Relevant qualifications or certifications in fitness instruction, sports management, wellness coaching, or a related field.
