Casual staff – Office of Research/Research Assistants

UniSC’s Office of Research is dedicated to supporting and facilitating a diverse array of research activities. From securing funding and developing partnerships to promoting knowledge dissemination and ensuring research integrity, our team fosters a vibrant research culture that empowers researchers to explore new ideas, tackle complex challenges, and make a meaningful impact on society.

Primary Objectives:

  • Assist in the preparation and submission of research grant applications and funding proposals.
  • Provide administrative support for research projects, including project planning, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Support the development and maintenance of partnerships with external stakeholders and research collaborators.
  • Facilitate communication of research outcomes through various channels, including reports, publications, presentations, and social media.
  • Ensure compliance with research ethics and integrity guidelines, assisting with the preparation of ethics applications and monitoring processes.
  • Organise and coordinate research related events, workshops, and seminars.

Desirable Qualifications or Skills:

  • Experience in research administration, grant writing, project management, research communications, or data analysis.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Proficiency in using research related software and tools, including data analysis programs and grant management systems.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of research integrity and ethics.
  • Experience in providing comprehensive administrative support for the finalisation and execution of contracts, including liaising with stakeholders, ensuring compliance with due diligence policies, and identifying potential risks.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and with external partners.
  • Relevant qualifications or experience in a research related field.
