Casual staff – Information Technology

Our Information Technology Division is integral to the success of UniSC, providing essential IT solutions and support that enable both academic and administrative functions. These roles involve developing, maintaining, and securing our digital systems, ensuring the university operates smoothly and efficiently.

Primary Objectives:

  • Provide technical support to students and staff, troubleshooting and resolving IT-related issues promptly.
  • Maintain software applications and systems that meet the needs of the university.
  • Support in the management of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and databases, to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Maintain cybersecurity measures to protect the university’s digital assets and data.
  • Collaborate with various departments to understand their IT requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Participate in IT projects, contributing to the planning, execution, and successful delivery of technology initiatives.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices to continuously enhance IT services at UniSC.

Desirable Qualifications or Skills:

  • Proven experience in IT support, system administration, software development, cyber security, or a related field.
  • Strong technical skills, with proficiency in relevant programming languages, software, and tools.
  • Excellent problem solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • A proactive and customer focused approach to IT service delivery.
